HOW WE GIVE

The What's Your Cause (WYC) Tour

The WYC Tour stands as a beacon of inspiration and empowerment, aiming to broaden horizons, ignite passions, and empower students from diverse backgrounds. Through interactive sessions, engaging panel discussions, and hands-on activities, the tour exposes students to a wide range of career pathways and introduces them to successful role models. Partnering with educational institutions like the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), the WYC Tour reaches thousands of students annually, fostering a sense of belonging and support within communities. More than just an event, it's a transformative experience that instills hope, sparks creativity, and empowers students to pursue their dreams with confidence and determination.

Yaxe, Oaxaca Province, Mexico: September 2023

This September (2023), our team was able to spearhead the construction of a rainwater harvesting system at a local middle school within the city of Yaxe, Oaxaca Province, Mexico. This rainwater harvesting system will provide renewable clean water for public sanitation and consumption for 150 children indefinitely. While within Yaxe, our team was able to provide preventative healthcare in the form of hypertension and diabetes checks, working in conjunction with a local physician to ensure long-term follow-up care. Most fortunately, we were able to meet with local leaders to form the basis for long-lasting, sustainable connection between our non-profit and the community of Yaxe.

High School Student Athletes

We have a grand passion for working with inner city high schools because we believe that all student athletes should be given equal opportunity regardless of their social economic circumstances. Through our custom fundraising programs, we are able to help students obtain the funds necessary to acquire things such as training apparel, sports equipment, travel fees, tournament fees, etc. In this year alone, we’ve had the privilege of giving back over $30,000 to various sports teams through out our nation.

Kenya, Africa Winter 2019

Africa was our most recent and biggest giveback to date. With the help and support of our Cause family (you guys!) we were able to give back 40K. This included installing a water filtration system in a nearby village, donating school and art supplies to after school programs, and supplying a hospital with a new hospital bed. All of this plus much more was all possible due to the constant love you all show us. Let’s see where this next year takes us.

Antigua, Guatemala Spring 2017

Our team joined forces with the water filter company Ecofiltro to install water filters in schools of 3 rural villages. This created a clean water source where the water had been causing diseases leading to deaths in the villages. On top of installing water filters our team also donated sports equipment, school/art supplies and toys to an after-school program in one of the villages.

Flint, Michigan Winter 2016

During the water crisis that was taking place, our team decided to make Flint one of our giveback destinations. Our team visited a homeless shelter and supplied them with 1,000 water bottles, 500 cans of chicken and were able to have conversations with the residents about their situations. Channel 7 News heard of our acts and covered our giveback for a piece that would be aired on their station.

Detroit, Michigan  Winter 2016

Detroit was where our team installed our first official mentorship program at Martin Luther King High School. We gave back $1500 in school supplies and to after school programs. Our team also got the chance to share our company’s origin story with the student body inspiring a few young men and women to want to pursue their own dreams.

Skid Row - Los Angeles  Summer 2016

Los Angeles, California was the destination for our second giveback. Our team went out to Skid Row in downtown L.A. to assist the hundreds of people living out in the streets. This was done through passing out $5,000 in hygiene kits, clothes, food & water. Haircuts were also given out to those who wanted them. Volunteers from the L.A. area assisted us in passing everything out.

Boys & Girls Club - Chicago  Winter 2015

Chicago was our very first giveback. During our universities Christmas break we donated $2,000 in sports equipment, toys and school supplies to the children of the Boys & Girls Club on the south side of Chicago. This was many of the kids First Christmas. Not only did we donate the $2,000 dollars in gifts but shared the experience of a regular day at the Boys & Girls Club. This included: arts & craft, dance class, gym time, lunch, and tutoring if needed

“Making a successful luxury brand in nine years is genius. It’s a feat that I admire and hope to continue building upon with a rich legacy. He revolutionised streetwear and luxury that crosses generations and decades. He showed the world that the underrepresented, the underdogs and Black people, in particular, have brilliant minds and can push and compete equally in the establishment. He inspired hope and brought about change.” - Ibrahim Kamara, Art&Image Director Off-White™
